Thank you very much for looking at my world of Wedding photography. Based in Christchurch in East Dorset I have been a Wedding photographer for 30 years. If you had asked me whilst studying photography at college if I would be a Dorset wedding photographer, that shy individual would of laughed and said definitely not.
What can I say – I warmed to it.
I now look back at my time as a wedding photographer with great affection and long for those days of delivering bride and grooms memories of their big day.
I use a perfect blend of natural portraits and documentary style photos to storybook your wedding. Yes, the traditional group photos are there as well but with a bit of fun & cheekiness attached. I promise – no stodgy photos of family & friends, in a line up, with no emotion.
My mission with my wedding photography is to deliver you some great photographs of your day. This is done by standing back and letting the day flow. If guidance on posing is needed I will do it in a fun way. Experience gives me lots of tricks at my disposal.
Your day is going to be amazing! Have an experienced Dorset wedding photographer who knows how to have fun and can just fit in.

I do not believe any photographer should take over the running of your wedding day: there is an art to being discreet and professional while offering a personal and friendly service.
As your Dorset wedding photographer I will use my experience in shaping your unique vision of your day. Using my eye in being in the right place at the right time.
As standard you will receive as follows –
My prices do not come with a wedding album as standard as not all couple want one but I can of course provide a quotation on request.
For full day summer coverage (*) my price is £1300.
If you have a small gathering or just need a photographer for a couple of hours my price is £850.
My prices out of season are lower but will depend on the length of time needed and the size of the party.
(*) Summer is from 1st April to 30th September

This was an amazing wedding at Kingston maurward. Nestled in Mid Dorset in a Georgian manor. Natural wedding photography is an art form all on it’s own, though with this venue and couple, it was all made easy.

I never forget when I picked up this couple in the photograph. They opened their door in laughter and went – Taa-dah! All Dressed up in their best clothes with their Hunter boots on. We had a great time in the New forest and yes I got them dancing!
This doesn’t mean you have to come on our shoot like this. Shorts and t-shirts are fine, as long as you feel comfortable and ready for a good time.
But why is it important to have a pre wedding shoot? No one is prepared for being centre of attention, most of us don’t even like our photograph taken. So, when you are spending loads of money it is good to understand the fundamentals of what works and what doesn’t. How do I stand, what do I do with my hands, where do I look – at the camera or my lovely partner?
This time is invaluable and is also an enormous amount of fun. It is a part of all of my packages as standard.

How much would a photographer charge for a wedding?
It can be very confusing looking at Wedding photographer prices. I think it depends on a few factors
Is it worth it to hire a wedding photographer?
You plan for your wedding day months in advance of the big day and the day itself will disappear in a blink of an eye. Memories fade in time and without photographs the day that connected you will just become a distant memory. A single photograph can remind you of how wonderful the day was and remind you why you did it.
Why pick me as your wedding photographer?
So why pick me? I dont like blowing my own trumpet but there isn’t many photographers in Dorset and surrounding area who has done wedding photography for nearly 30 years. My main motto is ‘It’s your day – not mine’. I will not take over your day. I will want to shine a light on your family and friends and give you memories that you didn’t see on the day. I also love ‘people’. There are so many photographers out there who just dont like being amongst the public and just do Weddings because it is a great way of getting new equipment. When you meet me you will hopefully see that I want to ‘connect’ with you. I want to photograph your big day as a friend and someone who can just blend with your guests.
