Charles is based in Christchurch in East Dorset. He loves exploring the world of Intentional camera movement to make pieces of Art.
Have you got stuck in a rut with your Photography?
Do you need a spark in doing something completely different to release your Creativity?
If the answer is ‘Yes’ to one or both of those questions I might be able to help.
I have been on my Photography journey for 35 years. From studying Art at college, to photographing 150 guests at a Wedding I have done most of what this box of tricks has to offer.
Over the years I have developed my own style of Creation using variants of Intentional camera movement (or ICM)
I use my skills to build pieces of Art and express myself using different movements of the camera.
Through my workshops, 1-1’s, I will help you find your own personal way of getting what you want by exploring ‘Mindfullness’ with your Photography.
Using techniques that I have learnt from Pilates classes I have learnt how to slow down and get in the right mood to take photos. To get in the moment before lifting the camera up.
Hopefully, by taking you out of the stress you will take better pictures.

Firstly, We are not going to meet up and do a Pilates class! If you want a good teacher I can give some details to an amazing teacher.
In all my classes we will leave the camera in the bag at the start. I think the fundamental reason for failure is that we are not in the right frame of mind to take good pictures. By exploring the location first we can think about what we want to do with the camera.
In our time together we will take our time to get something which means a lot to you, not me.
What you wont need –
A tripod.

I think it is most important to make a personal package to what you want to gain from our time together. Before meeting up we will have a 10-15 minute consultation zoom call to get a plan set up.
The location is entirely up to you. Please bear in mind travelling time might add to the cost of our session.
The session will last 4 hours.
The goal is to explore the world of Intentional camera movement and all its forms to result in a picture that you feel portrays the place we are in.
If the session is within 25 miles of my base in Christchurch. the cost will be £300.
Please message me to find out more.
A photographers vision of a waterfall is one of a long exposure taken with a tripod. I have done them as well but I have found a way of making unique abstracts of these amazing force of nature without the constraints of a tripod.
On this workshop we will meet in Waterfall country in South Wales. Expect an early start to beat the crowds and rather a lot of walking up and down hills. The paths are in the middle of getting revamped but please be aware we will go off path and it can be very slippy. If your balance isn’t good please bear this in mind. (Best to speak to me if you are unsure).
We will immerse ourselves into the world of falling water and capturing it at different speeds and see the changes that happen.
These sessions can either be one to one or groups of 3.
All transport to the destination is at your cost
*Expect to get wet so please have waterproof trousers and wellies
One to one – £549
Group of 3 – £300 each
'To me, a story can be both concrete and abstract, or a concrete story can hold abstractions. And abstractions are things that really can't be said so well with words.'
